Major OEM unlocked cell phone manufacturer's are Motorola, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, LG and Siemens. Carrier unlocked cell phones were originally locked to a specific service provider (i.e AT&T Wireless, T Mobile or Cellular One) Then were unlocked. These unlocked cell phones usually have a carrier/operator customization in the menus and carrier logos; They can't be configured for Internet/MMS settings with any other carriers/provider. Carrier/Operator unlocked cell phones carries local warranty of the country in which the carrier with whom they was originally locked operates.
